Quintilian, Maximus and Dadas

Holy Martyrs Quintilian, Maximus the Reader and Dadas, beheaded near Dorostolum.

Maximus, a reader of the Church, with his companions Quintilian and Dadas, were denounced as Christians at Ozovia near Dorostolum in Moesia during the persecution of Diocletian. They refused to sacrifice to the idols.

After imprisonment and torture they were beheaded at the end of the third century.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Quintilian, Maximus and Dadas is commemorated on April 13. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 26 of the civil calendar.
