Six Martyrs of Bizye

Holy Six Martyrs who suffered at Bizye in Thrace.

The Six Martyrs of Bizye confessed Christ in the Thracian city of Bizye during the pagan persecutions and were put to death together.

Their names are not preserved; they are honoured as a company.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Six Martyrs of Bizye is commemorated on August 10. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on August 23 of the civil calendar.
