Hieromartyr Vincent the Deacon of Saragossa, martyred at Valencia under Diocletian.
Saint Vincent was a deacon of Saragossa in Spain and a disciple of Bishop Valerius. During the persecution of Diocletian he was brought to Valencia, where he boldly confessed Christ before the governor Dacian.
He endured terrible tortures on the rack and the gridiron and died in prison, one of the most celebrated martyrs of the West.
