Holy Hieromartyr Acepsimas of Persia.
The holy hieromartyr Akepsimas was a bishop in Persia who suffered in the great persecution of the fourth century. Though advanced in years, he endured imprisonment and torture rather than worship the sun as his persecutors demanded, and he was put to death for his confession of Christ, together with the priest Joseph and the deacon Aeithalas.
The Church remembers him as a faithful shepherd who sealed a long life of service with martyrdom. He is commemorated on November 3.
