Hieromartyr Alexander, priest of Pydna in Macedonia.
St. Alexander was a priest of Pydna in Macedonia who suffered in the persecution of Maximian at the beginning of the fourth century. Tradition relates that he rebuked the emperor for his idolatry and was beheaded near Thessaloniki.
The Church of Macedonia keeps his memory on March 14.
