St. Antonina was a Christian woman of Nicaea in Bithynia who suffered during the persecutions of the early fourth century. Brought before the governor for refusing to sacrifice to idols, she was subjected to torture and imprisonment, and tradition relates that she was finally sewn into a sack and cast into a lake.
The Church honors her as a virgin martyr whose steadfastness under torment bore witness to Christ before the pagans of her city. Her memory is kept on March 1.

Saint Antonina was a Christian virgin of Nicaea in Bithynia who confessed Christ before the governor during the persecution of Diocletian. Tradition relates that she endured many tortures and was finally drowned, sewn into a sack and cast into a lake.
