Hieromartyr Artemon, Bishop of Seleucia.
St. Artemon is honored as one of the earliest bishops of the Church, shepherd of Seleucia in Asia Minor in apostolic times. Tradition associates him with the first generation of those who received the Gospel from the Apostles and gave their lives to establishing the Church among the pagans.
The synaxaria preserve little of his life beyond his faithful episcopal service, but his memory endures as one of the quiet founders on whom the Church was built. He is commemorated on March 24.
