New Martyr Athanasios of Kios in Bithynia.
St. Athanasios was a young Christian from Kios in Bithynia who, tradition relates, was accused before the Ottoman authorities and refused to deny his faith.
He was beheaded in Constantinople in 1670 and is honored among the New Martyrs.
