Barnabas of Vasa, the Wonderworker

Venerable Barnabas the wonderworker of Vasa near Limassol, an ascetic of Cyprus.

Saint Barnabas lived the ascetic life in the region of Vasa near Limassol in Cyprus and is honoured there as a wonderworker. His memory is kept on the feast of the Apostle Barnabas, and a church in his name marks the place of his struggles.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Barnabas of Vasa, the Wonderworker is commemorated on June 11. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on June 24 of the civil calendar.
