Benedicta the Roman

Venerable Benedicta of Rome, a nun of the sixth century.

Benedicta was a nun of a Roman monastery in the time of Saint Benedict, remembered for her purity of life. Tradition relates that Saint Benedict foresaw her death and that she reposed in peace after a holy life.

She is commemorated on May 6.
