Christina of Persia

Holy Martyr Christina of Persia, scourged to death for Christ.

St. Christina was a Christian woman of Persia who suffered for her faith in the fourth century. Tradition relates that she was scourged to death for refusing to renounce Christ.

The Church keeps her memory on March 13.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Christina of Persia is commemorated on March 13. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 26 of the civil calendar.
