Publius of Athens

Hieromartyr Publius, Bishop of Athens.

St. Publius was Bishop of Athens in the second century, a successor of St. Dionysios the Areopagite according to tradition. He shepherded the Church of Athens in a time of persecution and completed his witness as a martyr.

The Church keeps his memory on March 13.
