Holy Martyr Danax the Reader, of Illyricum.
St. Danax was a reader in the church of a town in Illyricum. When pagans attacked the church he fled with the sacred vessels; captured and ordered to sacrifice to Dionysus, he refused and was beheaded.
He is commemorated on January 16.
