Heliophotoi Martyrs of Cyprus

The Holy Heliophotoi Martyrs of Cyprus.

The Heliophotoi are a company of martyrs venerated in Cyprus, whose names are preserved in local tradition. They are said to have suffered for Christ in the early Christian centuries.

Their memory is kept in the villages of Cyprus where their relics were honored.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Heliophotoi Martyrs of Cyprus is commemorated on July 13. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 26 of the civil calendar.
