Bishop Helladios of Tarsus.
The Holy Hieromartyr Helladios was a bishop of the East in the early centuries of the Church who suffered for Christ in a time of persecution. The synaxaria preserve little of his life beyond his faithful service at the altar and his steadfast confession, for which he endured torments and gave his life for the Lord.
The Church keeps his memory among the hieromartyrs, shepherds who laid down their lives for the flock after the example of the Chief Shepherd. He is commemorated on May 28.
