Hermolaos, Hermippos and Hermokrates

Hieromartyr Hermolaos and Martyrs Hermippos and Hermokrates of Nicomedia.

St. Hermolaos was a priest of Nicomedia who survived the burning of the twenty thousand martyrs and lived in hiding, where he instructed the young Panteleimon in the faith and baptized him. Denounced during the trial of Panteleimon, he confessed Christ together with Hermippos and Hermokrates.

All three were beheaded shortly before the martyrdom of St. Panteleimon.

On the New Calendar, Hermolaos, Hermippos and Hermokrates is commemorated on July 26. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on August 8 of the civil calendar.
