Venerable Innocent of Komel and Vologda, disciple of Saint Nilus of Sora.
St. Innocent was a monk of the Kirillov monastery who became a disciple of St. Nilus of Sora and accompanied him on his journey to Mount Athos. Returning to the north of Russia, he founded a skete in the forest of Komel near Vologda, living according to the way of hesychast prayer taught by his elder.
He reposed in 1521, and his memory is kept on March 19.
