Kalliniki and Basilissa

Holy Martyrs Kalliniki and Basilissa of Rome.

Sts. Kalliniki and Basilissa were wealthy Christian women of Rome who used their means to visit and support the imprisoned confessors during the persecutions. Denounced for this, they were arrested and, confessing Christ before the governor, were beheaded.

The Church keeps their memory on March 22.
