Kensourinos and Sabinos

Holy Martyrs Kensourinos and Sabinos, who suffered with St. Hippolytos at Ostia.

Sts. Kensourinos, a Roman magistrate, and Sabinos were among those who confessed Christ at Ostia in the third century together with St. Hippolytos and St. Chryse. Tradition relates that Kensourinos believed after seeing a dead man raised through the prayers of a Christian priest, and was beheaded.

They are commemorated on January 30.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Kensourinos and Sabinos is commemorated on January 30. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 12 of the civil calendar.
