Kyprilla, Aroa and Lucia

Holy Women Martyrs Kyprilla, Aroa and Lucia of Cyrene.

Sts. Kyprilla, Aroa and Lucia were Christian women of Cyrene in Libya who were moved by the sufferings of Bishop Theodore to confess Christ openly. Tradition relates that Kyprilla was a widow who had been healed through the bishop.

They were tortured and received the crown of martyrdom in the persecution of Diocletian.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Kyprilla, Aroa and Lucia is commemorated on July 4. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 17 of the civil calendar.
