St. Macarios, Bishop of Paphos in Cyprus.

St. Macarios was Bishop of Paphos in Cyprus and is honoured among the holy hierarchs of the island. Tradition relates that he shepherded his flock with holiness and reposed in peace.

On the New Calendar, Macarios of Paphos is commemorated on February 8. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 21 of the civil calendar.
