Sts. Nikephoros and Stephen confessed Christ before their persecutors and were beheaded. The Synaxaria record only the fact of their martyrdom.

On the New Calendar, Nikephoros and Stephen the Martyrs is commemorated on February 8. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 21 of the civil calendar.
