Holy Martyr Meletios the General and the many soldiers who suffered with him in Galatia.
Meletios was a Roman general in Galatia who, tradition relates, destroyed the pagan temples of the region and was denounced to the Emperor Antoninus. He was tortured and put to death together with a great multitude of his soldiers and their families who had believed through him.
Among those named with him are John, Stephen, Serapion and Kallinikos. They are commemorated on May 24.
