Venerable Symeon the Stylite of the Younger.
St. Symeon the Stylite of the Wonderful Mountain lived in the sixth century near Antioch. Drawn to asceticism from childhood, he took up the rare and severe podvig of the pillar saints, dwelling on a column in fasting, vigil, and unceasing prayer for the greater part of his long life, after the pattern of the first Symeon the Stylite.
From his pillar he taught, counseled, and healed the many who came to him, and was revered as a wonderworker. He is commemorated on May 24.

On the New Calendar, Symeon Stylites is commemorated on May 24. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on June 6 of the civil calendar.
