Hieromartyr Paphnutius of Jerusalem.
Paphnutius is commemorated in the synaxaria as a hieromartyr of Jerusalem who suffered many torments and was put to death for Christ. The details of his life have not been preserved.
He is distinct from the several other saints named Paphnutius, including the confessor of Egypt honoured in September.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Paphnutius of Jerusalem is commemorated on April 19. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on May 2 of the civil calendar.
