Protas and Hyacinth

Holy Martyrs Protas and Hyacinth, servants of Saint Eugenia.

The holy martyrs Protas and Hyacinth were servants of St. Eugenia who followed her into the monastic life and shared her confession of Christ. They were beheaded at Rome.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Protas and Hyacinth is commemorated on December 24. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on January 6 of the civil calendar.
