Psoes of Egypt

Venerable Psoes, ascetic of the Egyptian desert.

Saint Psoes was one of the desert fathers of Egypt, who lived in asceticism and reposed in peace.

Little is recorded of his life beyond his name and his place among the venerable ascetics.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Psoes of Egypt is commemorated on August 9. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on August 22 of the civil calendar.
