Holy Martyrs Rusticus the Presbyter and Eleutherius the Deacon, companions of Saint Dionysios.
Rusticus and Eleutherius were a priest and a deacon who accompanied Saint Dionysios in his missionary labors and shared his imprisonment and sufferings.
Tradition relates that they were beheaded together with him, sealing their witness to Christ with their blood.

On the New Calendar, Rusticus and Eleutherius is commemorated on October 3. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on October 16 of the civil calendar.
