New Martyrs Stamatios and John, brothers, with their companion Nicholas, of Spetses.
The brothers Stamatios and John, and their companion Nicholas, came from the island of Spetses. Tradition relates that they travelled to Chios on business and were denounced to the Turkish authorities after a dispute.
Refusing to renounce Christ, they were beheaded in Chios in the early nineteenth century and are honoured as the patron martyrs of Spetses.

On the New Calendar, Stamatios, John and Nicholas of Spetses is commemorated on February 3. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on February 16 of the civil calendar.
