Tation the Martyr

Holy Martyr Tation of Claudiopolis.

Saint Tation was a Christian of Claudiopolis in Bithynia who confessed Christ during the persecution of Diocletian. After tortures he was dragged through the city and gave up his soul to God.

He is honoured among the martyrs of this day.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Tation the Martyr is commemorated on August 24. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on September 6 of the civil calendar.
