• Eutyches the Apostle

  Apostle, Ευτύχης

  St. Eutyches was a disciple of the apostolic age, remembered by tradition as a follower of St. John the Theologian who also accompanied St. Paul in his labors for the Gospel. Preaching Christ in various lands, he endured imprisonment and torments for the faith.

• Kosmas of Aitolia

  Apostle, Κοσμάς ο Αιτωλός

  Saint Kosmas was born in Aitolia in 1714 and became a monk of Philotheou on Mount Athos. With the blessing of the Patriarch he travelled through Greece, Epirus and Albania for many years, preaching to the enslaved people, founding schools and calling the faithful back to the Gospel.

• Dionysios of Zakynthos (Relics)

  Saint Dionysios was born on Zakynthos in the sixteenth century, served briefly as Archbishop of Aegina and returned to his island to live as a monk. He is famed for forgiving and sheltering the man who had killed his brother.

• Tation the Martyr

  Saint Tation was a Christian of Claudiopolis in Bithynia who confessed Christ during the persecution of Diocletian. After tortures he was dragged through the city and gave up his soul to God.

• George the Confessor of Lake

  Venerable, Γεώργιος ο Λιμνιώτης

  Saint George was an aged monk of Mount Olympus in Bithynia who defended the veneration of the holy icons under the iconoclast emperor Leo the Isaurian. He was tortured and had his nose cut off for his confession.
