Trophimos and Eukarpion

Holy Martyrs Trophimos and Eukarpion of Nicomedia, former persecutors.

Sts. Trophimos and Eukarpion were soldiers of Nicomedia in the persecution of Diocletian, employed in hunting down Christians. Tradition relates that they were converted by a vision on the road, released the prisoners in their charge, and confessed Christ before the governor.

They were burned alive, and the Church keeps their memory on March 18.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Trophimos and Eukarpion is commemorated on March 18. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 31 of the civil calendar.
