The Twenty-Six Holy Martyrs who suffered in Gothia.
The twenty-six martyrs of Gothia were Christians of the Gothic people in the Crimea and beyond the Danube who suffered in the fourth century under the pagan king Athanaric. Tradition relates that they were burned to death in a church where they had gathered for the Liturgy, and that their relics were later brought to Cyzicus by a Gothic princess.
The Church keeps their memory on March 26.
