  Titus the Wonderworker

  Venerable, Τίτος

  St. Titus the Wonderworker was a monk who from his youth gave himself to the ascetic life, excelling in obedience, humility, and love for the brethren. He served Christ in a monastic brotherhood, and for the purity of his life he received from God the grace of working wonders, from which he takes his title.

• Amphianus and Edesius of Lycia

  Martyr, Αμφιανός και Αιδέσιος

  Amphianus and Edesius were brothers from Patara in Lycia, sent to Beirut to study, who there came to the Christian faith. Amphianus went to Caesarea in Palestine, where he publicly rebuked the governor for sacrificing to idols and, after torture, was drowned in the sea.

• Polycarp of Alexandria

  Martyr, Πολύκαρπος

  Polycarp was a Christian of Alexandria who, seeing the blood of the martyrs shed in his city under the emperor Maximian, openly denounced the persecution. He was seized, tortured, and executed for his boldness.

• Theodora of Tyre

  Holy Woman, Θεοδώρα η Παρθενομάρτυς

  Theodora was a young Christian woman of Tyre in Phoenicia who, at about seventeen years of age, boldly confessed her faith before Urban, the governor of Palestine, during the persecution of the early fourth century.

• Gregory of Nicomedia

  Venerable, Γρηγόριος ο εν Νικομηδεία

  Gregory is remembered in the Greek synaxaria as an ascetic who practised the monastic life in the region of Nicomedia in Bithynia. Tradition relates that he lived in quiet stillness and prayer and reposed in peace.

• George of Atsquri

  Hierarch, Γεώργιος Επίσκοπος Ατσκουρίας

  George was a Georgian hierarch who served as Bishop of Atsquri in the south-west of Georgia around the end of the ninth and beginning of the tenth centuries. He is remembered in the writings of the Georgian hagiographers of that period as a holy and learned pastor.
