Holy Virgin Martyr Theodora of Tyre, a maiden of seventeen who confessed Christ before the governor of Palestine.
Theodora was a young Christian woman of Tyre in Phoenicia who, at about seventeen years of age, boldly confessed her faith before Urban, the governor of Palestine, during the persecution of the early fourth century.
After cruel torture she was cast into the sea. The synaxaria honour her among the virgin martyrs of the age of Diocletian.
