  Theodore Sykeon

  Hierarch, Θεόδωρος

  St. Theodore of Sykeon was born in a village of Galatia in Asia Minor in the sixth century. Given to prayer and fasting from childhood, he became a monk of extraordinary asceticism, and his holiness drew crowds seeking healing and counsel; against his will he was made a bishop, though he later returned to his beloved monastic quiet.

• Nathanael the Apostle

  Apostle, Ναθαναήλ ο Απόστολος

  Nathanael of Cana in Galilee was brought to Jesus by Philip and, hearing that the Lord had seen him under the fig tree, confessed Him as the Son of God. He was among the disciples to whom the risen Christ appeared at the Sea of Tiberias.

• Nearchos the Martyr

  Gregory Gravanos was a Christian of the island of Nisyros in the Dodecanese who, in the years of Ottoman rule, confessed Christ before the authorities and was put to death.

• Platon of Banja Luka

  Platon Jovanovic was a Serbian hierarch who became Bishop of Banja Luka in Bosnia. When the Ustasha regime came to power in 1941 he refused to abandon his flock.
