  Micah the Prophet

  Prophet, Μιχαίας

  The Holy Prophet Micah was one of the twelve minor prophets, prophesying in the kingdom of Judah in the eighth century before Christ, in the days of the Prophet Isaiah. He rebuked injustice and false worship, foretold judgment upon Jerusalem, and proclaimed the mercy of God who pardons iniquity.

• Markellos of Apamea

  Saint Markellos was bishop of Apamea in Syria in the fourth century. Tradition relates that while overseeing the destruction of a pagan temple he was seized by pagans and burned to death.

• Symeon of Trebizond

  Martyr, Συμεών ο Τραπεζούντιος

  Saint Symeon was a goldsmith from Trebizond who lived and worked in Constantinople. Accused of blasphemy against Islam, he refused to save himself by conversion and was burned to death in the seventeenth century.

• Oursikios the Martyr

  Martyr, Ουρσίκιος

  Saint Oursikios was an officer from Illyria in the Roman army who confessed Christ before the Emperor Maximian. After tortures he was beheaded.

• Lucius the Soldier

  The synaxaria record that Saint Lucius was a soldier who confessed Christ and was put to death for his faith.
