Holy Martyrs Anastasia and Basilissa of Rome, who buried the bodies of the Apostles Peter and Paul.
Anastasia and Basilissa were noble women of Rome, disciples of the Apostles Peter and Paul. Tradition relates that after the apostles' martyrdom they recovered and buried their bodies.
For this they were denounced to the emperor Nero, tortured, and beheaded in the first century.
