Holy Martyr Suchias and his companions, warriors who suffered for Christ in Georgia.
Suchias and his companions were noblemen of Caucasian Albania who escorted a princess to Armenia and there came to faith in Christ. Leaving the court, they lived as ascetics in the mountains of Georgia.
When a new ruler demanded their return to paganism they refused, and tradition relates that they were burned alive in the second century.

On the New Calendar, Suchias and the Martyrs of Georgia is commemorated on April 15. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on April 28 of the civil calendar.
