Pope Anastasios of Jerusalem.
St. Anastasios was a hierarch of the Church of Jerusalem who bore the title of confessor, one who suffered for the faith without denying Christ. The synaxaria preserve little of his life beyond his faithful witness in a time when the Church was tried by heresy and persecution.
The Church honors in him the countless shepherds who guarded the flock of Christ at cost to themselves, their names written more fully in heaven than in the records of men. He is commemorated on March 10.
