Holy Martyrs Andrew the Stratelates, Herakleios, Faustus, Menas and their company.
St. Andrew the Stratelates was a Roman military commander who confessed Christ together with his soldiers, among them Herakleios, Faustus and Menas. Tradition relates that they were slain by the sword in a mountain pass.
They are commemorated together as a company of soldier martyrs.
Feast day
On the New Calendar, Andrew the Stratelates and those with him is commemorated on July 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 25 of the civil calendar.
