St. Veronica, the woman healed of the issue of blood by touching the hem of Christ's garment.
St. Veronica is identified by tradition with the woman of the Gospel who had suffered from an issue of blood for twelve years and was healed when she touched the hem of the Lord's garment in faith. Tradition relates that she came from Caesarea Philippi.
She lived the rest of her life in piety and thanksgiving, and is honored as a holy woman of the apostolic age.

On the New Calendar, Veronica the Woman with the Issue of Blood is commemorated on July 12. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on July 25 of the civil calendar.
