Saint Arkadios, Archbishop of Cyprus.
St. Arkadios was Archbishop of Cyprus in the seventh century, in the years when the island faced the first Arab raids. Tradition relates that he was a learned and pastoral bishop who defended the Orthodox faith and cared for his flock in a time of trial.
He reposed in peace, and the Church of Cyprus keeps his memory on March 6.

On the New Calendar, Arkadios of Cyprus is commemorated on March 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 19 of the civil calendar.
