Venerable Hesychios the Wonderworker of Bithynia, the Faster.
St. Hesychios was an ascetic of Bithynia in the eighth century who settled on a mountain near Andrapa, building a small cell and a church of St. Andrew. Tradition relates that he lived in fasting and prayer, that he was granted the gift of working miracles, and that he foretold the day of his own repose.
His relics were later translated to Amasea. His memory is kept on March 6.

On the New Calendar, Hesychios the Wonderworker is commemorated on March 6. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on March 19 of the civil calendar.
