Asterios, Claudius, Neon and Neonilla

Holy Martyrs Asterios, Claudius, Neon and their sister Neonilla of Aegae in Cilicia.

These three brothers and their sister were denounced as Christians by their stepmother, who coveted their inheritance, and brought before the governor Lysias at Aegae in Cilicia.

They confessed Christ, endured torture, and were crucified around 285; Neonilla was beheaded after them.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Asterios, Claudius, Neon and Neonilla is commemorated on October 30. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 12 of the civil calendar.
