Holy Apostle Kleopas of the Seventy, to whom the risen Christ appeared on the road to Emmaus, with Saint Joseph, Patriarch of Constantinople.
Kleopas was one of the two disciples to whom the risen Lord appeared on the road to Emmaus and who recognized Him in the breaking of the bread. Tradition names him the brother of Joseph the Betrothed and numbers him among the Seventy.
He is commemorated on this day together with Saint Joseph, Patriarch of Constantinople, who rejected the Latin union and reposed in peace.
