Eutropia the Martyr

Holy Martyr Eutropia of Alexandria.

Eutropia was a Christian of Alexandria who visited and encouraged the confessors in prison during the persecution of Decius. Arrested for this, she boldly confessed Christ before the governor.

She was tortured and burned, giving up her soul to God around 250.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Eutropia the Martyr is commemorated on October 30. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on November 12 of the civil calendar.
