Eleutherios the Cubicularius

Holy Martyr Eleutherios the Cubicularius of Constantinople.

The holy martyr Eleutherios was a chamberlain of the imperial court. Tradition relates that he was denounced as a Christian by a servant, refused to deny Christ, and was beheaded.

Feast day

On the New Calendar, Eleutherios the Cubicularius is commemorated on December 15. Churches on the Old (Julian) Calendar keep the feast on December 28 of the civil calendar.
