Eulogios of Alexandria

St. Eulogios, Archbishop of Alexandria.

St. Eulogios was abbot of a monastery in Antioch before being elected Patriarch of Alexandria in the late sixth century. A friend and correspondent of St. Gregory the Great of Rome, he combated the Monophysite and other heresies with his writings.

He governed the Church of Alexandria for many years and reposed in peace in the early seventh century.
