Venerable Symeon the Myrrh-streaming, Stefan Nemanja, founder of Chilandar on Mount Athos.
St. Symeon was Stefan Nemanja, the Grand Prince who united the Serbian lands in the twelfth century. Late in life he abdicated in favour of his son and joined his youngest son St. Sava on Mount Athos, where together they founded the Monastery of Chilandar.
He reposed there in 1199, and his relics flowed with myrrh, earning him the title Myrrh-streaming.
